Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Qedamio mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Qedamio provides:

• AI-powered meal planning based on your pantry inventory
• Macro and calorie tracking
• Pantry management tools
• Voice input for food entry
• Meal plan history and export (subscription tiers)

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

• You must provide a valid email address
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You must not share your account credentials

3.2 Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time via Profile settings
• We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Upon termination, all your data will be deleted within 30 days

4. Subscription Plans

4.1 Tier Structure

Free Tier:

• 3 lifetime meal plan generations
• 1 edit per meal plan
• View last 3 meal plans in history

Medium Tier:

• 15 monthly meal plan generations
• 2 edits per meal plan
• View last 30 meal plans in history
• PDF export
• Feedback submission

Pro Tier:

• 31 monthly meal plan generations
• 4 edits per meal plan
• Unlimited meal plan history
• PDF export
• Feedback submission
• Priority support

4.2 Payments

• Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Payment management is handled by RevenueCat

4.3 Billing and Renewal

• Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless cancelled
• Cancel anytime via App Store or Google Play settings
• Cancellation takes effect at end of current billing period
• No refunds for partial months

4.4 Downgrades

If you downgrade or cancel a subscription:

• Free tier: History limited to last 3 meal plans
• Medium tier: History limited to last 30 meal plans
• Previously generated meal plans remain in database but are hidden per tier limits
• You can upgrade anytime to restore full access

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 You Agree NOT To:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Share your account with others
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or decompile the App
• Upload malicious content or viruses
• Abuse voice input features
• Spam meal plan generation excessively
• Violate other users' privacy
• Scrape or automate data collection from the App
• Use the App to harm minors

5.2 Content Guidelines

• Food items you add must be legitimate food products
• Do not add offensive or inappropriate food names
• Meal plan edits must be reasonable requests
• Respect the AI system and community standards

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Rights

• Qedamio name, logo, and App design are our trademarks
• App code, features, and design are protected by copyright
• AI-generated meal plans are created using advanced AI

6.2 Your Rights

• You own the data you input (pantry items, goals, etc.)
• You have a license to use meal plans generated for you
• You can export your data at any time

6.3 License to Use App

• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App
• License is revoked if you violate these Terms

7. AI-Generated Content

7.1 Meal Plans

• Meal plans are generated by AI
• AI suggestions are based on your pantry and macro goals
• Meal plans are personalized but not guaranteed to be perfect
• You should use your own judgment regarding nutritional advice

7.2 No Medical Advice

• Qedamio does NOT provide medical or nutritional advice
• Meal plans are for informational purposes only
• Consult a healthcare professional for dietary guidance
• We are not liable for health outcomes from following meal plans

7.3 AI Limitations

• AI may occasionally generate incorrect or suboptimal meal plans
• AI cannot account for allergies unless you specify in food rules
• You are responsible for verifying nutritional information

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Service Availability

• We provide the App "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE"
• We do not guarantee 100% uptime
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily disrupts service
• We are not liable for service interruptions

8.2 No Warranties

• We make no warranties about accuracy of AI-generated meal plans
• We make no warranties about nutritional information
• We do not guarantee specific health or fitness results

8.3 Third-Party Services

• We use Supabase, RevenueCat, and AI services
• We are not responsible for third-party service failures
• Third-party services have their own terms and policies

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are NOT liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are NOT liable for health issues arising from meal plans
• We are NOT liable for data loss (though we take reasonable precautions)
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Qedamio harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you submit to the App

11. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via:

• In-app notification
• Email (if provided)
• Updated "Last Updated" date

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms.

13. Termination

13.1 By You

• Delete your account anytime via Profile → Delete Account
• All data will be permanently deleted within 30 days

13.2 By Us

We may terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Abuse the App or AI features
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Fail to pay subscription fees

13.3 Effect of Termination

• Access to the App is immediately revoked
• Subscription charges stop at end of current billing period
• All data is deleted within 30 days
• You may not create a new account without our permission (if banned)

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, contact us at support@qedamio.com to resolve disputes informally.

14.2 Arbitration

• Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration
• Arbitration will be conducted in English

14.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.

14.4 Exceptions

Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable international laws.

• For EU users: EU consumer protection laws apply
• For California users: California consumer laws apply

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Qedamio.

18. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
